About Startups Valley TBI

Most of the students of Amal Jyothi are coming from the rural agrarian region of Kerala. The physical problems during farming were taken as the technical issues to be solved through Amal Jyothi. We have initiated a project contest named as I2U (2006). In order to get more exposure, visibility, and entrepreneurial insight, we have initiated an Entrepreneurship Development Cell with the mentorship of Technopark TBI (A Govt of Kerala initiative) in 2006. Quality and usefulness was the key mantra for the project development activities. Further, the same center was recognized and funded by NSTEDB, Dept of Science and Technology, Govt of India in 2009. It was one among the 5 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centres sanctioned by DST in pan India. This center was the first Govt of India supported IEDC in Kerala. Amal Jyothi was able to develop a number of good quality startups through this initiative. The experience earned through the IEDC helped to start a Technology Business Incubator with the funding support of NSTEDB, DST Govt of India. This project was sanctioned in 2015.
