ISTE — Amal Jyothi Chapter (KE 33)
The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is India's only national organization of educators in Engineering and Technology — contributing to faculty development, curriculum reform, and technical education quality across the country through chapters in every state.
ISTE is a national, professional, non-profit Society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. Started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), it was converted into the Indian Society for Technical Education in 1968 to advance the cause of technological education. The major objective of ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top-quality professional engineers and technicians needed by industries and other organisations.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, CTE/DST/MIT, and State Governments are well associated with ISTE for programmes relating to technical education. ISTE has sections in the majority of states and chapters in engineering and polytechnic colleges across India. The Kerala section is headquartered at Thrissur. Visit www.isteonline.in for more.
