Monthly Report
Quiz club activity was started on 26th September 2007. Total sixty members were allotted to quiz club. Executive committee for the academic year 2007-2008 was selected during the first meeting. The office bearers are Deepak P .Babu of S8 CSE as president, Tania Tom of S4 IT as Vice president, Bansan Thomas George of S4 ECE as Secretary and Alby Thomas of S4 IT as Joint Secretary. Class/Batch representatives were also elected. Batch representatives are the 1.Suraj Nair S8 CS2Ambily P R S4 CS3. Varghese Kurien S4 ME4. Joe John Thomas S4 IT In the second meeting held on 10.10 2007, the total club members were totally divided into nice groups. It is decided to conduct the quiz programme every week based on general, or on specific topic like, aptitude test, English, sports, political, cultural etc.
In order to raise fund for conducting various club activities, members were agreed to contribute Rs.20 every month. Deepak P.Babu & Suraj Nair conducted the first quiz of the club. Prem Mathew S1S2 won first prize. In the meeting held on 17.10.2007, batch representatives from first year were selected.S1S2 A -Alvin Jens Babu, S1S2 B-Ejas Azad, S1S2 C- Haripriya, S1S2 E- Prem Mathew, S1S2 F-Rejy Alex, S1S2 G- Vishnu Surendren.The first group conducted the quiz competition. Four Groups got first place Group-2, 5, 6, 8. The second group conducted quiz competition on 31.10.2007. Two teams won first places, Group-3, 4. The fees from the members were collected. For the smooth functioning of the club, the number of groups is decided to reduce 4. The executive committee conducted the quiz competition in the meeting held on 7.11.2007. Groups were reduced to 4. The first group got the first prize & winners are given prizes. Dr. Soney congratulated the prize winners of many external events. Mr. Vishnu S. & Mr. Jofis John got. Third prize in quiz competition held at St. Thomas College Ranni, Mr. Deepak P. Babu & Mr. Saju got fourth place in quiz competition held at BCM college, Kottayam & Mr. Bansan Thomas George got
consolation prize in VIS-À-VIS (Best Manager) held at SJCET Pala & he was the part of the college team which won overall Championship in Comfest-07 at Marian College, Kuttikanam, hearty congratulations to all prize winners.The next Quiz competition will be conducted by the Staff in charges. | |

The first meeting of the club was held with the presence of the staff members Dr.Soney C. George, Ms. Preetha Mathew, Ms. Vidhya M.Nair, and Mr. Shaji Joseph. The office bearers for the club were elected. They are as follows;

* The Club is divided into 9 groups.
* Planned to raise funds
* Each member should pay a fee of Rs.20 per month.
* Aptitude test, Maths, Science etc should also be included in the Quiz programmes.
* Deepak P.Babu & Suraj Nair conducted the first quiz of the club.
* Prem Mathew S1S2 won first prize.
* Selection of batch representatives is postponed to next meeting.
