Energy Conservation Club

Objective

1. To reduce non renewable energy usage in all forms by using energy efficient technologies and methods and optimizing the fuel consumption.
2. To make the students and public aware of the necessity of energy conservation, energy saving methods and equipments.
3. To study latest developments in the field of energy conservation and renewable energy technologies.

Activities of the club :

Proper study of energy conservation methods
Study of energy conservation act 2001.
Practice the methods of energy conservation in their own homes and in the college campus and present the effects.
Try to improve public awareness on energy conservation.
Make use of available non conventional energy resources.
Study latest development in the field of energy conservation and renewable energy technologies. 
Collect energy audit findings from consultants.

Minutes of meeting held on 26-09-07                                               
Date 10-10-07 
The club was formed on 26-09-07 with a strength of 66 students under the initiativeof  Mr. VI cherian  and Mr. Benet George V.  The office bearers of the club were elected.
The Presidential address was given by Eldho Varghese. A talk was given by him on different activities that can be conducted by the club. The objectives and activities of the club were finely tuned after taking the input from the students into consideration. Mr.Benet George Prof. V I Cherian Sir also contributed their ideas and opinions.

In the last meeting the club members was divided into 6 groups Group leaders were selected for each group. They are as follows,
