Duration of the course

a)  The course for the B.Tech. Degree shall extend over a period of four academic years comprising of 8 semesters.  The first and second semester combined and each semester from third semester onwards shall cover the groups of subjects as given in the scheme of studies and examinations.
b)   Each semester shall normally comprise of 16 weeks.
c)   The course calendar will be as follows.

Core Subjects

They include Electrical Machines, Power System, Control Systems, Network Theory and Electrical Measurements and Instrumentation. The Syllabus is designed such that the students get maximum exposure in the field of Electronics also. The subjects covered include Digital Electronics, Communication Engineering, Power Electronics, Electronics Circuits, Linear Integrated Circuits, Digital Signal Processing, Microprocessor, Micro - Controllers etc:.

Electives

The main electives include Neural Networks, Object Oriented Programming, Biomedical Engineering and Instrumentation, Computer Aided Design, Robotics, System Software, Computer Networks, Artificial Intelligence, Opto - Electronics and VLSI Technology.
