Civil engineering is the mother of all engineering branches. Civil department is with full-fledged laboratories, highly qualified faculty, advanced equipments, testing machines and professional soft wares.

The objective of the Bachelor of Technology degree in civil engineering at AJCE is:
To prepare our graduates to have professional career in:

• Basic Infrastructure Construction & Maintenance Industry like Buildings, Complexes & Multiplexes, Roads & Bridges, Railways, Docks & Harbours, Airports, Irrigation Structures, Water supply & Sanitary systems etc
• Specialized fields of Foundation constructions, Water & Air pollution and control, Water resource management, Quality Control Management, Remote sensing and Geo-graphic Information Systems.
• Interdisciplinary fields like Software development, GIS and Remote Sensing Systems development, Information System development etc.

Core subjects

The course structure is updated regularly to enable the students to understand the new trends in infrastructure development. it includes survey, analysis and design of steel and concrete structures, prestressed concreting, remotesensing and geographic information system,geotechnical engineering,hydraulics,water resources,environmental engineering and intelligent transportation system.
