ASEATIC
Amal Jyothi Students Electronics Association and Technical Interaction Club, ASEATIC was found on 16th July 2003.The main of the club is to learn and know beyond the curriculum. In pursuit of this aim, we have planned numerous activities as part of our association. These include Industrial Visits, Industrial Trainings, Group Discursions, and Seminars by eminent personalities from the various industries/fields, debates & quiz, preparation for campus interviews, to motivate and to encourage students to participate in various technical and cultural events. To achieve the above objectives committees was formed under the guidance of Mr Satish John, senior lecturer and staff coordinator of our department.
ASEATIC- the first branch association of Amal Jyothi College of engineering was inaugurated on 20th July 2003 by Mr. T.J.Aprem, scientist and head of Pulse Tracking System, VSSC, ISRO Trivandrum by lighting the Bhadradeepam in the presence of Ver.Rev Fr Dr.James Thalachelloor, manager of the college, Dr. P Basak, director and Dr.A Koomalavalli Amma, principal, registrar, Mr K G Satheesh Kumar, HOD of ECE, Mr.Vysakh, President of ASEATIC office bearers, staffs and students of our college. After this, the inaugural session seminar on 'ELECTRONIC LAUNCH VEHICLE SYSTEM' was presented by Mr. T.J.Aprem.ON 12th September 2003 Dr.V P N Nampoothiri, professor and head of International school of Photonics Cochin University of Science and Technology had taken a seminar for the club members on diverse fields of technology like 'ELECTRONIC LAUNCH VEHICLE SYSTEM','OPTICAL COMPUTING THEORY AND IMPLEMENTATION ', 'IMERGING TRENDS IN VLSI AND EMBEDDED SYSTEMS'.
On 25th February 2004 for the first time in Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, a five day personality development program named 'Turning Point' was arranged for the senior students of AJCE. This turned out to be a great success and an eye opener as as a stepping stone to the world of opportunities for all.
On 8th march 2006 the general body meeting of ASEATIC decided to conduct the second anniversary celebration. This was held on 20th April 2006.An executive committee was constituted to celebrate 'ASEATIC FEST 2006' with the following activities and total price money of Rs 13500/- was decided up on. Paper presentation (branch wise), Circuit Designing (year wise), Sigma multi level stage events conducted.
Industrial Visits Arranged
- 4th semester students had an Industrial visit to the IDUKKI power station on 07-04-2006
- 6th semester students had their industrial visit to ITI Palakkad and Malabar Cements on 21st and 22nd of April 2006
National Level Festivals
The association and its members had an active role in the inter-collegiate Technical Festival 'AMALITES '04' and in the National level Technical and Cultural festival 'AZURE '05' which was held in the Amal Jyothi College campus. Both the festivals caught the attention of the public and media alike . Similarly in September 2005, the students also showcased their technical skills in the 4th annual students convention of ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) Kerala section 'ITHIHASS '05' which was held in the campus.
The race has only begun and many hurdles are yet to be crossed. Every now and then, new challenges are coming up in every sphere of life which makes us more competitive to face them.ASEATIC, as in the continuing tradition would always be there with all the zeal and strength to be successful in every test that pops up.
